As a young child, Johanna Amelie played the violin, viola, saxophone, piano, and flute. Inspired by Regina Spektor’s songs, 17 year old Johanna Amelie made the decision to pursue a career as a singer-songwriter. She studied music production and started playing shows all over Europe.Johanna writes songs about anything that moves her – romance, motherhood, death and plastic pollution. Over the past 5 years, Johanna Amelie has released 3 albums and 4 EPs on British and German record labels and had over 300 performances across the globe, including stops in Iceland, Ghana and New Zealand.
